As our guests at " ROUELLE" you are invited to enjoy the peace and calmness of our tranquil surroundings.
ROUELLE is a sympathetically restored 18th century farm complex set in its own 5 acres, with outstanding views over the Loire Atlantique. Situated opposite the historic “Bois de St Joseph” for relaxing walks and only 2 minutes from the pretty town of Rougé just 0.5 km away with its general store, bakers, post-office, bar/tabac, pharmacy and church.
The setting is very pleasant and offers various delights depending on the season. During the early summer months long warm light evenings make having aperitifs and barbeques an attractive proposition. Later in the season as the nights draw in but the evenings stay warm, sitting under the moonlight gazing up at the clear night skies and toasting marshmallows is one of our favourites – followed by a relaxing night enjoying the warmth and crackle of a log fire.
The surrounding 5 acres of land provides a wealth of trees, 2 stone-built barbecues and picnic tables where you can find that much sought after privacy, away from everything, and where you can laze with your glass of wine, a good book, and let the dappled sunlight maintain the warmth of the sun whilst you rest in the shade. Meanwhile, observe the stunning view over the countryside from this hillside retreat.
Children are welcome to romp around and explore the safe environment where our own children find themselves becoming everything from Tarzan to Tinkerbell. The good thing is you know they are there, you know where they are, and that they are safe but……you can’t hear them!
